About Us & Our Team

Privately & Locally Owned/Operated

OUR HISTORY

McKean Veterinary Hospital began as a large animal mobile practice in 1998. Within two years, the practice expanded to serve companion animals, too. A beautiful old dairy barn was renovated for the site of this hospital.

As the practice continued to grow, an award-winning architectural firm was hired to design their new building. The 4,700-square-foot building opened its doors in 2013 and meets stringent standards set by the American Animal Hospital Association. The new building boasts:

  • Separate Wards for Dogs, Cats & Other Small Mammals
  • 5 Exam Rooms
  • A Surgical Ward
  • Laboratory Space
  • A Dental Nook
  • Digital Radiography
  • Intensive Care & Post-Op Ward
OUR MISSION

It is the philosophy of McKean Veterinary Hospital to provide our clients and patients with the best possible service and highest quality veterinary care. We strive to educate our clients and empower them to make the best decisions for their beloved pets.

We promise to maintain excellent communication with our clients, provide compassionate treatment for our patients, and manage our practice ethically.

We strive for the sake of our employees and community to run a financially sound business and be a responsible resident of McKean.
